Ray J as part of the new $31 million partnership deal will oversee global branding strategies and overseas marketing. 

The deal was paid in the form of equity and cash, according to a press release.

The Let It Go singer in 2015 launched his own electronics brand Raytroniks and Scoot-E-Bike. 

The new partnership will focus on innovation and green electronic technologies.

'The world is moving towards renewable green energy, and electric transportation is a big part of that. With the Raycon movement, we are going to make sure we are one of the first ones there,' Ray J said in a statement.

The Raycon partnership was set to launch later this month with products available for purchase at rayconglobal.com. 

New York City-based Cowboy Wholesale will be the exclusive distributor of Raycon products with marketing opportunities in the US, Asia and Europe.

Ray J is a first cousin of the rapper Snoop Dogg and younger brother of singer Brandy.

He famously starred in a sex tape with Kim Kardashian that became public in February 2007.

Ray J has been married since August 2016 to Princess Love.
