Ray Cares: Giving Back

There are those in our community that need our help; Donate, Volunteer, or give a helping hand. Show someone you care by helping them complete a task, giving away gently used clothing, or helping out at a homeless shelter. You can also help out the community by recycling, volunteering to clean the parks, or helping your neighbor with their chores. There are many ways to get involved, just make sure you are a part of the worldwide challenge of giving back.

Step One: NO PROCRASTINATION

Do what needs to be done right then and there. The longer you put it off the more of a burden it will become. Why are you waiting until “New Years” or the last min. to get started? The best time is right now. Do you want a better body? Well, get up and start those crunches now! Do you have work to complete? Finish it now so you can get on with your day! When something is complete, it’s complete. There is nothing else to it but to do it.

Step Two: OVERCOMING FEAR

Fear is what keeps you from prospering. It is normal to feel fear of the unknown and/or fear of failure. Your power to overcome fear is the gateway to your true success. The worst that can happen is your goal not happening at all. And if you are letting fear control your life, then your biggest fear is already taking place.

Step Three: PACE YOURSELF

I’m sure you have all heard the cliche “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, and it is true. Taking small steps that eventually make the big picture is easier than taking huge steps that are not concise and impatient. Once you learn to pace yourself you will start to understand the value of time, patience, and effort. Your end goal will be more pleasurable and satisfying because of your hard work , dedication and patience.

Step Four: TIME MANAGEMENT

Manage your time wisely. Set out specific time brackets in which you will complete your work. Use those set aside times and dedicate it to completing the task at hand. During this time you should be consumed in that set out task and only that. When you manage your time correctly, you will see a difference in how “busy” your day actually is.

Step Five: BE SURE TO HAVE FUN

No matter how boring or routine a task is, make it fun. Find a way to like what you do. You only have one life to live and if it means using your time doing something you rather not do, turn that task into something you like to do. Optimism is key in living a happy life. Variety is what keeps life exciting so, find new ways to do what you find routine or boring.
